Maria holds a bachelor’s in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Liverpool and a master’s degree in Oncology from the University of Porto.
During her master’s, she completed a thesis focused on overcoming prostate cancer resistance. She also had an opportunity to do a summer internship at i3S where she monitored disease progression using MRI in animal models of prostate cancer.
Maria is proactive and highly motivated, with strong analytical and critical thinking skills, and a passion for contributing to a better healthcare sector.
